The Daily: Is Sean Couturier Finally Ready to Play?

Published

on

The Philadelphia Flyers haven’t seen Sean Couturier on the roster in some time. The forward is an important piece for a Flyers team looking for any sort of positive as they enter what appears to be a tough rebuild. Philadelphia Hockey Now writer Sam Carchidi notes that Couturier will be addressing the media today.

All signs point to it being a positive session that signals a return to the ice.

Carchidi adds that if the Flyers are looking for improvement, defenseman Ryan Ellis and Couturier both need to be healthy for the Flyers to take a big step forward. It’ll still be a challenging season for the Flyers, but if the 29-year-old scorer can play, it’s a boon for Philadelphia. Carchidi called Couturier the team’s MVP for the three seasons prior to last year’s injury shortened one.

Flyers fans are likely counting down for the media session to begin.
