With 45 days remaining before the March 3 NHL trade deadline, none of the contenders seem to have started their shopping. But teams, including the Pittsburgh Penguins, seem to be putting together their wish lists.
Pittsburgh Hockey Now’s Dan Kingerski said sources are telling him that the Penguins and Wild are engaged in trade talks. The Penguins are a veteran team with a closing window. They are going for it.
Meanwhile, Boston Hockey Now’s Jimmy Murphy says the Bruins’ are going all in an effort to win the Stanley Cup. They want to land one of the top players in the trade market, perhaps Patrick Kane. But can the Boston Bruins create the cap space to make it happen?
