Detroit Red Wings 2022 first-round draft pick Marco Kasper was leading the way with a spectacular performance as Rogle fought to a third straight SHL victory on Sunday. During a 5-4 shootout win over Oskarshamn, Kasper was scoring one goal and setting up two others.

Along with his three-point game, the center who was Detroit’s eigth overall selection in the 2022 NHL entry draft was also winning 63.16% of his faceoffs. As well, Kasper was skating a career-high 21:39, the most ice time of any Rogle forward.

Defenseman William Wallinder, Detroit’s 32nd overall pick in 2020, also drew an assist in the win, while skating a team-high 25:59.

Griffins Drop Close One To Wild

The Grand Rapids Griffins fell 2-1 in a shootout to the Iowa Wild in an AHL game on Monday. Austin Czarnik was scoring the lone goal for GR.

Alex Chiasson and Cross Hanas drew the assists on Czarnik’s goal. Hanas has three points in his last four games (1-2–3) and has made the scoresheet in back-to-back games.

The Griffins were recalling forward Drew Worrad from the ECHL Toledo Walleye.
