If you are wondering whether the Detroit Red Wings will look at signing any free agents this summer, know that general manager Steve Yzerman is wondering that as well.

This season, it comes down to roster spots. And even Yzerman doesn’t know for sure which of his own free agents he will be able to sign or who the Seattle Kraken will take in the expansion draft. That will dictate how active he can be in the free agent or trade markets.
