The Nashville Predators are being listed as the -130 road favorites to defeat the Detroit Red Wings in Tuesday's game at Little Caesars Arena.

Detroit Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill is well aware that his club will have their hands full on Tuesday as they play host to the Nashville Predators at Little Caesars Arena.

“First off, their big guns are playing really good hockey,” Blashill said. “(Ryan) Johansen, (Matt) Duchene, (Filip) Forsberg. (Defenseman Roman) Josi always plays good hockey. Compared to the start of last year, they’ve really played at a high level.

“They’re a hard forechecking team. Last year they were one of the best forechecking teams in the league. This year they sit No. 3 in our analytics as one of the top forechecking teams in the league. They come at you hard. They’re heavy. They’re gonna hit you. They’re gonna play good structure.

“It’ll be hard game tonight and we’re gonna have to be ready to be at our best. Specifically, we gotta be really good at getting the puck out of our zone.”

Oddsmakers at BetUS are in agreement with Blashill’s assessment of the contest. They’re also seeing the Red Wings in for a tough test and in fact are setting the Predators (13-10-1) as the -130 road betting favorites over Detroit (13-9-3).
