Robby Fabbri, Detroit Red Wings
When they originally acquired Robby Fabbri, the Detroit Red Wings felt he could be part of the team's rebuild. Now they're certain of it.

When they acquired forward Robby Fabbri from the St. Louis Blues early in the 2019-20 NHL season, the Detroit Red Wings felt he could be part of what they were building. He was young enough to still have many strong years ahead of him. Most importantly, on a goal-starved team, Fabbri knew all about putting the puck in the net.

“When he came in we definitely needed help,” Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill recalled. “Our team obviously struggled that year. We didn’t play very good hockey.

“Right away I knew he could help that team. I think the question you ask yourself is can the player help you win long-term?”
