The Detroit Red Wings have missed the playoffs for six consecutive seasons. But they still have plenty of appeal as a national television draw.

TNT and ESPN released their national television schedule Wednesday and the Red Wings appear 14 times on the two networks. The Red Wings will appear six times on TNT and eight times on ESPN or its affiliates. Sometimes, Detroit fans will need ESPN+ or Hulu to see their team.

The Detroit franchise traditionally boast a large collection of fans around the country and still draw a noteworthy audience even in the midst of rebuilding. Having Calder Trophy winner Moritz Seider, plus Lucas Raymond, also create some interest in Detroit.

Detroit will be featured on ESPN on both a doubleheader and tripleheader. The doubleheader will be on March 11 when Detroit faces Boston and the Pittsburgh Penguins meet the Philadelphia Flyers in the battle of Pennsylvania. The tripleheader features coach Derek Lalonde’s team playing the Penguins in prime time to close out the final Saturday of the regular-season on April 8.
