The Arizona Coyotes are now among the teams interested in acquiring Noah Hanifin from the Calgary Flames.  Trevor Neufeld has a roundup of what’s going on with Hanifin. The Boston Bruins and San Jose Sharks are also interested.

James Nichols of New Jersey Hockey Now is also reporting that the Devils are aggressively pursuing a defenseman. Hanifin could be on general manager Tom Fitzgerald’s list.

San Jose Hockey Now also reports several teams are interested in Mario Ferraro. Meanwhile, Montreal Hockey Now reports teams are  heavily scouting the Canadiens.  Teams like Montreal’s defensemen. The Tyson Barrie saga continues. He has permission to talk to other teams about acquiring him from the Predators. Elliotte Friedman reports the Philadelphia Flyers are not eager to move Rasmus Ristolainen. There’s plenty of buzz in the trade market.

None of that buzz is in Detroit. The Red Wings made their big move by signing Patrick Kane who will make his Red Wings debut tonight. “We’ll be smart in how we use him,” Detroit coach Derek Lalonde said. “I don’t know if he’s ready for a regular shift. I think we’ll monitor it.
