Red Wings Prospect Report: Why Berggren Can’t Stay in NHL (+)

Grand Rapids Griffins coach Dan Watson believes Jonatan Berggren, 23, should be more encouraged than discouraged that he is back in Grand Rapids after netting two goals in three games in a Detroit call-up.

Berggren scored in his first game back with the Griffins. The Red Wings sent him down on Friday.

“The message is: The reason he was called up is he’s doing all the right things here,” Watson said.
