The Detroit Lions are not the only team with an important game against a team from Tampa today
When you are done watching the Detroit Lions play the Buccaneers today in the NFL playoffs, don’t forget that the Detroit Red Wings have a critical home match-up against the Tampa Bay Lightning with a 7 p.m. start. It was originally scheduled for 5 p.m. but the Red Wings moved the game to give Detroit fans a chance to see both games.
If you are going to the Red Wings’ game, it would be best to arrive while the Lions are still playing. Once Ford Field starts to empty, it could be chaotic around the stadium area.
The Red Wings game is important because the Lightning are two points ahead of Detroit for third place in the Atlantic Division.
The Red Wings have improved their offense this season. They are fourth in scoring average (3.51 goals per game). But Bob Duff points out that it’s been the team’s improved defensive play that has sparked their recent surge.
