The Daily: Bruins Must Move Regular; Here Are Untouchable Kings

Published

on

Boston Hockey Now’s Jimmy Murphy writes that the Boston Bruins still have to trade a regular to make room for the re-signing of Trent Frederic and goalie Jeremy Swayman.

Murphy says the Bruins, according to puckpedia, have $5.4 million in cap space left and will likely need more to sign both Frederic and Swayman.

A Bruins salary dump is coming.

Rumors have included several key names, including goalie Linus Ullmark. But Murphy believes the likely choice is defenseman Derek Forbort.

Forbert has  a $3 million cap hit. That might also be enough if Patrice Bergeron or David Krejci decide to return to the Bruins.
