Kevin’s Morning Hash: Red Wings’ Tyler Bertuzzi getting company on non-vaccinated list

Tyler Bertuzzi, Detroit Red Wings
Tyler Bertuzzi is getting company on the NHL's list of non-vaccinated players. He will miss nine games in Canada because he can't cross the Canadian border.

Detroit Red Wings feisty forward Tyler Bertuzzi isn’t the only player on the National Hockey League’s non-vaccinated list. New Jersey Devils goalie MacKenzie Blackwood is weighing whether to vaccinate.

Edmonton’s Josh Archibald, New York Islanders’ Bode Wilde and Columbus Zac Rinaldo have also been identified.

Vancouver Hockey Now’s Rob Simpson also writes that the Canucks are the victims because Travis Hamonic hasn’t showed up at training camp. It’s presumed his absence is about the vaccine and family concerns.

If Blackwood doesn’t receive the vaccine, he will miss his team’s nine games in Canada, just like Bertuzzi will for the Red Wings. We’ve called him a bad teammate for his stance.

Rumor of the Day

Hockey News’ Adam Proteau believe the Eichel situation will last until the March 12 NHL Trade deadline.
