Red Wings Announce TV, Radio Schedule

Red Wings fans got a taste of winter with streaming broadcasts from Traverse City on the last full weekend of summer.

Bally Sports Detroit livestreamed all three games from the NHL Prospects Tournament.

The season is just around the corner. The Red Wings hold training camp in Traverse City this week with the preseason  starting near the end of the month.

Broadcasts begin soon

The broadcast season begins the preseason opener against Pittsburgh at Little Caesars Arena o Sept . 26. It will be broadcast on Bally Sports Extra (TV) and on WWJ-AM (radio). It’s the only preseason game braodcast on TV and radio.

Bally Sports will also broadcast home games against Washington on Oct; 1 and the preseason finale against Toronto on Oct. 7.

Preseason radio broadcasts resume with games at Chicago Oct. 3, at Pittsburgh Oct. 4 and at Toronto Oct. 5. All will be on WXYT ((7.1 FM).

Regular-season broadcasts begin with the season opener at New Jersey on Oct. 12, one of a dozen games on ESPN/Hulu, ABC or TNT. Regular-season Bally Sports Detroit broadcasts begin Oct. 14, when the Red Wings play host to Tampa Bay.

Old favorites return

Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond return for a 27th season calling TV games, while Ken Kal and Paul Woods return for the Red Wings’ radio broadcasts for a 28th year. Daniella Bruce will join them this year with in-game updates as well as pregame and postgame interviews.

Chris Osgood and Larry Murphy will fill in for Redmond when needed.

WXYT-FM (97.1 The Ticket) will carry most radio broadcasts. WWJ-AM (950) will carry games 0n nights where there are programming conflicts.
