A younger teen-age boy thought he had himself a nice souvenir when he shook a puck free after it became caught in the netting at a Pittsburgh Penguins game. But an adult fan immediately snatched the puck.
The scene didn’t play well with other Penguins fans. Even though play was going on, they began to chant for the older fan to give the puck to the minor. This went on for 10 minutes.
Eventually, the wife of a Penguins player, setting nearby, went and secured an autographed puck to give the kid. The puck grabber never relented.
Ushers were involved. Security showed up. Tempers were running hot. Dan Kingerski of Pittsburgh Hockey Now captured the entire story. Read it here.Â
Red Wings In Case You Missed It
Marco Kasper, with back-to-back multiple point games, seems to be getting comfortable on Detroit’s top line.
Bob Duff writes that coach Todd McLellan’s team is passing the early test, but there is a major examination coming soon.
How would you compare McLellan’s Red Wings to Derek Lalonde’s Red Wings? Patrick Kane has some thoughts.
